All of you know RGV is always heading into the controversy, once again he proved. Ram Gopal Varma is back to his controversial best as he announced a film on Vijaywada caste politics titled 'Vangaveeti'. Ram Gopal Varma has bounced back with his recent Kannada hit, Killing Veerappan, biopic on Sandalwood brigand. The director was all over headlines as he announced the film on controversial topic of Vijayawada rowdyism. Adding fuel to it, Varma listed out characters of his film.
It includes biggies like Rajiv Gandhi to NTR. He also mentions Mudragada Padmanabham who is leading recent Kapu agitation over reservations. Adding chilli to spice it up, Varma released a single track with controversial lyrics like, ‘Kamma Kamma…Kapu Kapu’.
RGV announced that he will bid goodbye to Telugu films post this crime thriller. The maverick director justifies his decision saying that he is confident that it would be best subject he is going to direct and wouldn’t find any better story in future. Sensational hero, Sampoornesh Babu reacted to this on his micro-blogging page.
“@RGVzoomin sir’s Last telugu film is “Vangaveeti”. His last Telugu film was Govinda Govinda” wrote by burning star sampu sarcastically. Indeed, Varma was supposed to quit Tollywood way back in 90s after making Nagarjuna – Sridevi starrer Govinda Govinda. The director got miffed with censors even then for scissoring his film. Varma himself had pledged not to make anymore movies in Telugu. However he returned back with Katha Screenplay Darsakathvam Appalaraju.
