Mobile Internet users in Andhra Pradesh search most for Aamir Khan and Zarine Khan. A recent Telenor India consumer trend report for the year 2015 has revealed usage trends of its subscribers in the circle.
This annual survey captures mobile usage and download trends of 5.5 million Telenor customers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in different categories such as most searched-Bollywood actor, Bollywood actress, sports person and most downloaded caller tune.
As per the report, Aamir Khan is the top searched actor, followed by Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Ranbir kapoor. Zarine Khan is the top searched Bollywood actress followed with Bipasha Basu, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and Karishma Kapoor. Bahubali’s ‘paacha bottesina’ is the most downloaded song followed by ‘pedave pallikana’, ‘Jatha Kalise’, ‘dheere dheere’ by Yo Yo Honey Singh and ‘Baaton ko teri’ from All Is Well.
The usage trends show that service packs continue to stay very popular among subscribers. In 2014, Telenor had launched service packs for Facebook and WhatsApp. Over 1.5 million subscribers are using the social and messaging app on Telenor network. The usage trend shows that WhatsApp is the most opted instant messaging application in the region. Similarly, the entertainment pack launched in December last year for offline video download has emerged as one of the most popular STV’s in the circle.
In Andhra Pradesh, Telenor has one of highest percentage of data users. In the circle over 27% of Telenor subscribers use their mobile to access Internet. The company has over 55000 retail outlets to serve its customers.
